How does Desidrawer work?

Desidrawer is revolutionizing the Indian fashion industry by allowing women to rent Indian designer apparel & accessories within the United States. Customers have the ability to rent from Desidrawer’s curated collection of designer pieces for a 4 or 8 day rental period for as little as 15% of the retail price. Desidrawer carries apparel in sizes small, medium, and large, depending on the designer. Minor alterations are made by our highly skilled in-house tailors to achieve a well fit. Desidrawer provides customers with a pre-paid, pre-addressed package to return all rental pieces. Rental prices include the cleaning and care of all apparel & accessories.
We take great care to clean all apparel and jewelry. A variety of techniques are used to ensure that each style is cleaned thoroughly, inspected for quality, and packaged with care so that it’s ready for you to wear.
Rentals are available for either 4 or 8 days.

Place An Order

When should I make a reservation for a dress?

You can book a reservation up to 1 year in advance, and schedule your order to arrive 1-2 days before your event.
Deliveries are made between 8am and 10pm during weekdays and Saturdays. We provide tracking information so you can see when your package is out for delivery. If a package is being delivered to a business, please include the company name in the shipping address information at checkout.
You’re charged at the time you make your reservation — it’s similar to booking a flight.
The day before we ship your jewelry we place a hold on your credit card that is a percentage of the retail value of the items you are renting.
We place a hold to prevent theft and cover lost or damaged items.


Can you deliver to a hotel or another address besides my home?

Sure! If you're shipping to a hotel, please put the hotel name in the company field and the reservation guest in the attention field. Please make sure the hotel concierge is expecting your delivery. Please return your order via UPS or to one of our store locations on your rental end date. We advise you not to leave your return with the hotel concierge as this may result in late fees if your order is not returned on time.
If an item is returned via third party or UPS Access Point, there is a possibility that the items will be delayed shipping back to us which could result in late fees. Because of this, we do not allow items be returned with a 3rd party. Your order must be returned to a UPS store or UPS drop box directly.
Standard shipping costs $9.95 – exclusions may apply for heavy ethnic wear dresses
We don’t, please enter a valid residence, company or hotel address for a successful delivery.
At this time we only ship orders within the U.S., excluding Hawaii and Alaska. Orders must also be returned from within the U.S.
You will receive an email with a tracking number once your order has shipped.

Place An Order

Do I need to provide a shipping label for returning my items?

Your package will come with a return label.
Please email with your new return tracking information. You will responsible for your own return method.
Your order must be shipped or dropped off by noon on the given return date.
Merchandise received one- two days late will result in 100% of the rental fee for that item added to the total fees. Merchandise received three to seven days late will result in 250% of the rental fee for that item added to the total fees. Any time beyond eight days without notification, merchandise will be presumed lost or stolen and the full retail value will be changed to your credit card.
You will receive a confirmation email once the items have been received and inspected.
We understand that some wear and tear may be inevitable, and the $5 insurance fee covers minor stains and damage. However, significant damage and theft aren't covered under the insurance. If the item is damaged beyond repair, the fee is the retail price of the item. If the item is never returned, the fee is double the retail price of the item.

Style & Fit

What if the dress I ordered doesn’t fit?

Please refer to the sizing disclosed on the product page. The DesiDrawer team can provide guidance and suggestions regarding sizing, but the final decision is yours.
We do our best to ensure your dresses arrive wrinkle-free. Each dress is steamed and pressed before being sealed in plastic and placed in a garment bag. If you receive a dress with slight creases, please try steaming the garment on low heat or contact us for advice.
